In the late hours of a spring night in Paterson, New Jersey, the life of 20-year-old Edward Andeliz was brought to a violent end. On Saturday, May 27, 2017, police responded to reports of a shooting on 16th Avenue. There, they discovered Andeliz lying on the ground, having sustained gunshot wounds. He was transported to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead in the early hours of May 28, 2017. Andeliz was a male resident of Paterson.
