Death by Force

In the early evening of March 6, 2017, Nafis Jahad Treadwell, a 22-year-old Black or African American male from East Orange, New Jersey, was fatally shot in Newark. The incident occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. in the 100 block of Hawthorne Avenue. Treadwell was inside a vehicle when he was struck by gunfire.
