In the summer of 2017, the life of a young man was abruptly cut short on the streets of Trenton, New Jersey. Jerome J. Thomas, a 21-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on the evening of Friday, August 4th. The incident occurred around 7:50 p.m. in the 600 block of Southard Street, where Thomas was seated inside his vehicle. He was a resident of the Somerset section of Franklin Township in the neighboring Somerset County.
