In the early hours of a Sunday morning, a dispute outside a Trenton, New Jersey bar escalated to violence, leaving one man dead and another wounded. The life of 47-year-old Kristoffer J. Givens was cut short on December 8, 2024, following the altercation. He was a male.
The incident unfolded around 1 a.m. outside of Al Lee's Bar and Lounge on Dickinson Street. An argument broke out, leading to multiple gunshots being fired.
When police arrived, they discovered that a 40-year-old man from Willingboro had been taken to a hospital in a private vehicle with several gunshot wounds. About a block away from the initial scene, on Olden Avenue, officers found Kristoffer Givens suffering from a gunshot wound.
Mr. Givens, a resident of Ewing, was transported by police to Capital Health Regional Medical Center. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead a short time later. Born in Trenton, Kristoffer was a graduate of Trenton Central High School and worked as a truck driver. He was known for his love of riding his bike as a member of the Cycle Kings. He is remembered by his son, brother, fiancée, and other family and friends.
As of now, the investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and authorities have not made any arrests in connection with the incident. The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are actively looking into the case and have requested that anyone with information come forward. No suspects have been publicly identified in the death of Kristoffer Givens.
