On a Saturday night in August of 2021, a 44-year-old man from Trenton, Aula Boles, was fatally shot in the neighboring Ewing Township. The incident occurred shortly before 10:00 p.m. on Stout Avenue, where authorities were alerted to the sound of gunfire by a ShotSpotter activation. Upon their arrival, police officers discovered Boles unresponsive, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
