On a late summer morning, the life of 27-year-old Del Roberts Jr. was tragically cut short on a street in Newark, New Jersey. It was Saturday, September 2, 2017, when gunfire erupted at the intersection of Springfield Avenue and South 20th Street. When officers from the Newark Police Department arrived at the scene around 11:30 a.m., they found Roberts suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
