On the evening of October 5, 2017, a violent altercation in Jersey City led to the death of 37-year-old Donald McLaughlin III. Reports from the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office indicate that at approximately 8:30 p.m., police responded to calls of shots fired in the vicinity of Central Avenue and Graham Street.
