On the evening of April 11, 2015, a burst of gunfire shattered the residential calm of Bergen Avenue in Jersey City, leaving a man fatally wounded. The victim, identified as 36-year-old Michael Settles, a male resident of the city, was pronounced dead following the violent encounter.
