In the late hours of a Tuesday night in Jersey City, the sound of gunfire shattered the calm on Wilkinson Avenue. It was April 13, 2021, and when police responded to reports of shots fired, they found 21-year-old Rodney Wallace suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body. Wallace, a male resident of the city, was rushed to the Jersey City Medical Center, but his life could not be saved. He was pronounced dead at 11:44 p.m.
