In the late evening of Saturday, March 4, 2023, the life of 34-year-old Tyreef Robinson was tragically cut short on a street in Jersey City. At approximately 10:10 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department received a report of a shooting in the vicinity of 2 Bergen Avenue. Responding officers discovered Robinson, a resident of Jersey City, with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Despite the prompt arrival of emergency services, Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene just before 10:30 p.m.
