In Jersey City, a young man's life was cut short in a burst of violence that shattered the city's recent period of peace. Kashyne Grant, a 19-year-old male, was in the area of Garfield Avenue and Brown Place on the afternoon of Friday, October 11, 2024, when gunfire erupted shortly before 5 p.m. Responding officers discovered Grant with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
