Jamila Marie Carter, a 22-year-old African American woman from Cleveland, OH, tragically lost her life on May 29, 2017. She was fatally shot while driving on Cedar Road and East 28th Street in Cleveland's Central neighborhood. The incident occurred on Memorial Day, and Jamila was shot in the head, while her friend Shonna Adams, 21, was shot in the back.
