In the evening hours of January 3, 2025, in Jersey City, New Jersey, a sense of unease settled over the neighborhood near Lembeck Avenue and Old Bergen Road. Shortly before 8:30 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the night, prompting calls to the Jersey City Police Department. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered 20-year-old Rahmiere Morris suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso.
