On November 21, 1980, five-month-old Ronald Winters III, a white male infant, died in Otisco, New York. Initially, his death was attributed to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome following a 911 call made by his mother, Shirley Winters, who reported that Ronald had stopped breathing.
