Danie Philistin, a 29-year-old man, was fatally shot on the evening of Saturday, July 17, 2021, outside a home in West Babylon, New York, where a house party was taking place. Originally from New Jersey, Philistin was a guest at the gathering on Gordon Avenue. The party, which had started earlier in the day, was disrupted by gunshots late in the evening. Investigators arrived at the scene to find Philistin with a gunshot wound.
