In the early hours of a Saturday morning, the quiet of a Camden, New Jersey alleyway was broken by a grim discovery. On December 8, 2018, police responded to a call about an unconscious man and found 34-year-old Oreste Borrero lying in an alley off the 3100 block of Westfield Avenue. He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency services were called to the scene, but Borrero, who was homeless, was pronounced dead shortly before 10:20 a.m.
The motive for the shooting remains unknown, and authorities have not released any information about a potential suspect or suspects.
