In the late hours of a cold January night in Camden, New Jersey, the life of 28-year-old Andrew M. Ayala was irrevocably altered. On January 3, 2022, at approximately 10:28 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet at the intersection of North 20th Street and Wayne Avenue.
