On the evening of August 28, 2021, a young father named Darnell Farrish, 19, was fatally shot in Camden, New Jersey. The incident occurred around 8:01 p.m. on the 2300 block of South 8th Street, between Sylvan and Fairview Streets. Officers from the Camden County Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter activation and found Farrish suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
