In the spring of 2016, a burst of gunfire on a street in Camden, New Jersey, abruptly ended the life of 34-year-old Abdullah Fussell. On the evening of Friday, April 15th, the city's gunfire detection system alerted police to trouble in the area of Eighth and Chelton streets. Arriving at the scene around 7 p.m., officers discovered Fussell lying on the ground, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
