A violent altercation at a Trenton, New Jersey, laundromat on September 16, 2019, claimed the life of 21-year-old Geovahnie Fanfan. The incident, which took place at the Liberty III Laundromat on Chambers Street, also left a 16-year-old boy in critical condition.

The events unfolded when a group of individuals, including Fanfan, allegedly attacked 37-year-old Darryl Parker inside the establishment. Surveillance footage captured the moments leading up to the fatal shooting. According to prosecutors, 74-year-old Eudean McMillan, also known as 'Mama Dean,' exited the laundromat just before the assault on Parker began. She returned with a handgun and opened fire on the individuals who were attacking Parker as they attempted to flee. During this initial round of gunfire, the 16-year-old was struck.

Fanfan, seeking refuge, ran to the back of the laundromat and hid in an office area. However, he was visible through a large open counter window. Prosecutors state that McMillan then handed the gun to Parker. Parker approached the counter, leaned over, and shot Fanfan. As McMillan and Parker started to leave, a 15-year-old male who was with them allegedly took the gun, walked back to the counter, and fired multiple shots at Fanfan as he lay on the ground.

Following the shooting, the three suspects fled the scene in McMillan's vehicle. Law enforcement officials later arrested McMillan, Parker, and the 15-year-old. Parker and the teenager were charged with murder and weapons offenses. McMillan was charged as an accomplice to murder, in addition to two counts of attempted murder and weapons offenses.
