On a late Saturday night in May 2020, the life of Robert Smith, a 38-year-old man from Trenton, New Jersey, was tragically cut short by a burst of gunfire. He was among a crowd of thirty to forty people who had gathered outside a residence on Daymond Street. The atmosphere of the large gathering was shattered at approximately 11:40 p.m. when one or more individuals approached and began shooting into the crowd. In the ensuing chaos, Smith was struck in the head by a bullet.
