On the evening of April 14, 2023, Daniel Garvin, 46, of Trenton, New Jersey, was fatally shot. At approximately 8:21 p.m., Trenton Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation indicating gunfire near 328 Rutherford Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered Garvin behind 332 and 330 Rutherford Avenue, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
