On the evening of April 14, 2023, Daniel Garvin, a 46-year-old Black male from Trenton, New Jersey, was tragically killed. The events leading to his death began with an altercation that did not involve him. At approximately 8:21 p.m., Trenton Police were alerted to gunfire by a ShotSpotter activation for six rounds in the vicinity of 328 Rutherford Avenue.
