In the afternoon hours of December 10, 2020, tragedy struck in Jersey City when 35-year-old Niles Holmes, a male resident of the city, was fatally shot. The incident unfolded shortly after 4:15 p.m. near the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Wilkinson Avenue. First responders arrived at the scene to find Holmes unconscious and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
