In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Newark, New Jersey, the life of 16-year-old Jarrod Lawson was tragically cut short. On May 16, 2021, on the 500 block of 15th Avenue, the young man was fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 12:40 a.m., shattering the quiet of the neighborhood.
