William Amrull, a 50-year-old freelance auto mechanic from San Francisco, was tragically killed on June 26, 2008. Amrull was found shot to death on the sidewalk near Holly Park Circle and Newman Street, close to his Bernal Heights home. The incident occurred around 2:24 AM, and no clear motive was immediately identified. His death was part of a broader spike in violence during 2008, contributing to the city's total of 53 homicides at that point in the year.
