Jamar Lake, a 19-year-old San Francisco resident, was shot and killed on May 24, 2007, in the city's Western Addition neighborhood. The incident occurred in broad daylight, and police believe that the shooting was targeted. Lake was gunned down near a residential area known for its history of gang-related violence. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire and found Lake suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
