On January 1, 2008, Marcus Antoine Peppars, a 26-year-old man, was shot and killed outside a nightclub in San Francisco’s South of Market (SoMa) neighborhood. The shooting occurred around 4:50 a.m. after Peppars had exited a club on 9th Street. According to witnesses, the suspect fled the scene on foot, and despite efforts from law enforcement, no arrests were made at the time.
The San Francisco Police Department continues to seek public assistance, offering a $25,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the person responsible.
