Eduardo Tay, a 23-year-old resident of Oakland, was fatally shot on May 5, 2017, at the intersection of Palou Avenue and Newhall Street in the Silver Terrace neighborhood of San Francisco. The incident occurred at around 6:00 p.m., during rush hour, which caused significant disruptions to traffic in the area as police responded.
