In the evening hours of a Sunday in Newark, New Jersey, a life was tragically cut short. Lewis Griffith, a 29-year-old male, found himself on Peabody Place on October 23, 2016, when gunfire erupted around 8:30 p.m. The violence of that moment would prove fatal for Griffith, who was shot and pronounced dead at the scene just eleven minutes later.
