A night of violence in Newark, New Jersey, on July 1, 2017, claimed the life of 20-year-old Darnell Holmes. The shooting, which erupted near Lincoln Park, also resulted in the death of 26-year-old Nigel Farrell of East Orange and left two other men, aged 25 and 28, with non-life-threatening injuries.
