In the late evening hours of a Monday in Newark, New Jersey, the life of 34-year-old Jeread Hollaway, a male resident of the city, was brought to a violent and tragic end. On September 6, 2021, at approximately 11:10 p.m., the sounds of screams and multiple gunshots pierced the night in a residential neighborhood in the upper West Ward. Worried residents in the vicinity of 118 Brookdale Avenue promptly dialed 911 to report the alarming disturbance.
