In the autumn of 2021, the life of 17-year-old Altamir Mayweather was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. A promising standout basketball player at Weequahic High School, Mayweather was a well-known figure in his Newark, New Jersey community. On the afternoon of November 16th, police were called to the Oscar Miles Housing Complex on Court Street, where they discovered a chaotic and violent scene.
