On a January night in 2019, a traffic stop for speeding in Newark, New Jersey, quickly escalated into a fatal encounter for 46-year-old Gregory Griffin. After being pulled over, an officer reported seeing a gun in the vehicle, which prompted Griffin to flee, initiating a high-speed police chase.
