In the early morning hours of November 17, 2021, a burst of violence in Newark, New Jersey, claimed the life of 63-year-old Michael Uthman Brown, a male resident of East Orange. At approximately 12:22 a.m., Newark Police were called to the 500 block of Orange Street following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Brown near a restaurant, suffering from gunshot wounds.
