On the evening of December 2, 2021, a young woman's life was tragically cut short on a street in Paterson, New Jersey. Jasmin Wel, a 25-year-old female, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the area of 661 East 24th Street shortly after 8:15 p.m. Responders rushed her to St. Joseph's University Medical Center, but she was pronounced dead a short time later. The incident marked the 28th homicide in the city that year.
