In the early morning hours, a domestic dispute in a Paterson, New Jersey, apartment escalated to a fatal conclusion. Inside the third-floor residence at 522 River Street, 28-year-old Myesha Montgomery was shot. Police responded to the scene at approximately 2:00 a.m. to find Montgomery and a 30-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, where Myesha Montgomery was pronounced dead. The male victim received treatment for his injuries.
