On October 1, 2023, Mary "Tink" Taylor, a 22-year-old resident of Paterson, New Jersey, was fatally shot near her home in the Great Falls Historic District. The incident occurred around 9:22 p.m. near Van Houten and Cianci streets, just across from the apartment building where she lived with her mother.
