In the crisp autumn air of October 1, 2023, the life of 22-year-old Mary Tink Taylor was tragically cut short in a hail of bullets on a Paterson, New Jersey street. The young woman was near the corner of Van Houten and Cianci streets, just across from her own home, when gunfire erupted around 9:22 p.m. She had been getting out of a white Hyundai Sonata, about to cross the street to her residence, when she was struck by a gunshot wound.
