In the early evening of a Wednesday in March, the city of Orange, New Jersey, was unsettled by an act of violence that claimed the life of a young man. On March 16, 2022, Anton Douglas, a 24-year-old male, found himself in the 500 block of Scotland Road when the sound of gunfire shattered the urban quiet. When police officers from the Orange Police Department arrived at the scene at approximately 5:18 p.m., they discovered Douglas suffering from gunshot wounds.
