In the summer of 2016, a burst of gunfire shattered the night in Orange, New Jersey, leaving a young man's life cut tragically short. Wilmar Larose, a 25-year-old Black man from Landing, was in the vicinity of Main Street and North Day Street on the evening of July 26th when he was struck by multiple bullets. The attack, which occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m., also wounded another individual, a 24-year-old man from East Orange, who ultimately survived his injuries.
