In the city of Orange, New Jersey, the life of a young man was cut short on an April evening. Jordan Bryan, a 23-year-old male resident of the city, was in the 400 block of Cary Street on April 17, 2016, when he was fatally shot. The incident happened around 8:05 PM, at which time he was pronounced dead at the scene. His death marked the second homicide in Orange in just a matter of days, contributing to a growing concern about violence within the community.
