For seventeen years, the Fortuna Mini Market in Camden, New Jersey, was the livelihood of 40-year-old Luis Morales, a beloved store owner. On the morning of Tuesday, July 19, 2022, his life was tragically cut short in a brazen robbery that shook the community. Just before 11 a.m., police received multiple 911 calls reporting a robbery at the market located in the 1200 block of Louis Street.
