In the afternoon hours of November 8, 2022, on the 900 block of South Orange Avenue in Newark, New Jersey, a report of a shooting prompted a police response. Upon their arrival at approximately 2:40 p.m., officers discovered a man who had sustained a gunshot wound. The injured male was identified as 23-year-old Nyshon Anthony, a Black resident of Newark.
