On a grim Sunday evening, November 27, 2022, the life of 15-year-old Al-Sanir Hall of Newark, New Jersey, was tragically cut short. The young Black male was discovered on Melrose Avenue near 18th Avenue in Irvington, suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. Irvington police responded to a call about an unconscious person at approximately 6:59 p.m. and, upon arrival, found the teenager who was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 7:30 p.m.
