In the early hours of Sunday, May 15, 2022, a 36-year-old man of Guyanese descent, Curt Johnson, was fatally shot in Irvington, New Jersey. The incident occurred around 3:22 a.m. in the vicinity of Prospect Street and Nesbit Terrace. Irvington Police officers responded to reports of gunfire and discovered Johnson at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds.
