On a Monday afternoon, just two days after Christmas in 2021, a young Black man named Khaleel Powell, who was 26 years old, had his life cut short by gun violence. A resident of Orange, New Jersey, Powell was known as a funny and loving father who had a passion for cars and music. His life, however, came to a tragic end on December 27th in the neighboring town of Irvington.
