In the summer of 2014, a joyous occasion turned into a scene of tragedy, forever altering the lives of two families. On June 17th, Bruce Miles Jr., a 27-year-old male, was attending a preschool graduation party in Irvington, New Jersey. The celebration, held to honor the young daughter of Ronald Smith, was filled with friends and family, including Miles, who was a friend of the child's mother.
