Kenneth Lee Daniels, a 28-year-old police officer with the Detroit Police Department, tragically lost his life on September 1, 2004. Officer Daniels was working an off-duty job as a bouncer at a nightclub located at 6609 Michigan Avenue in Detroit. On the night of his death, he had intervened in a fight and ejected several men from the club. Later that evening, as he was walking to his car, he was ambushed and shot by one of the men he had ejected earlier.
