In the summer of 2015, a grim discovery was made in a southwest Detroit apartment that left a family and community grappling with a profound loss. On June 27, 37-year-old Jathan JD Butler, a male, was found shot to death alongside his younger brother, 29-year-old Michael 'Mike' Butler, and a 24-year-old woman named Cathleen Rudolph.
