On a Sunday in August 2009, 21-year-old Matthew Landry, a drummer from Chesterfield Township, left his girlfriend's house to run a few errands. It was a stop that tragically placed him in the path of two teenagers, setting in motion a horrific sequence of events. In the parking lot of a Quiznos in Eastpointe, Landry was abducted at gunpoint by 17-year-old Ihab Masalmani and 16-year-old Robert Taylor.
