On July 29, 2024, the body of 19-year-old Travion Ferguson, a Black male from St. Louis County, was discovered in Carondelet Lions Park in the far south section of St. Louis, Missouri. Around 5:00 p.m., officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of Davis Street in the city's Patch neighborhood following reports of a shooting.
